It is generally possible to use our website without providing personal data. Nevertheless, personal data is sometimes processed. You can find out when this is the case in the following descriptions.

Informational use of our website

It is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data when using our website for information purposes only. Rather, in this case we only collect and use the data that your internet browser automatically transmits to us, such as

  • Date and time of accessing one of our websites

  • your browser type

  • the browser settings

  • the operating system used

  • the last page you visited

  • the amount of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.) and

  • your IP address.

We collect and use this data during an informational visit exclusively in non-personalised form. This is done to enable you to use the websites you have accessed, for statistical purposes and to improve our website. We only store the IP address for the duration of your visit; no personalised analysis takes place.

Contacting us

Contact form

You can get in touch with us via a contact form. The information collected in the contact form (first name, surname, email address and, if applicable, company, street, postcode/city, country, telephone number) and your message will only be used by us for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. The data will be deleted after processing has been completed. Data will only be stored for a maximum of 10 years beyond this period as part of the legally required archiving of e-mail correspondence (e-mails are business and commercial letters).

Your data will only be passed on to other third parties if we are legally obliged to do so.

Contacting employees by e-mail

You can contact us by sending us an e-mail. For example, you can send this to info(at)media-central.com or to the personalised email addresses of our employees. The data that we receive when you send us your e-mail (for example: your name, your e-mail address and your message itself) will only be used by us for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. Once processing has been completed, the data will be deleted. Only in the context of the legally prescribed archiving of e-mail traffic (e-mails are business and commercial letters) will data be stored for a maximum of 10 years.

Your data will only be passed on to other third parties if we are legally obliged to do so.

We cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by e-mail, so we recommend that you send information requiring a high level of confidentiality by post.

Use of the newsletter

Description and scope of data processing

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address and your first and last name. In order to be able to check whether you are the owner of the e-mail address provided or whether the owner agrees to receive the newsletter, we send an automated e-mail to the e-mail address provided after the first registration step. Only after confirmation of the newsletter registration via a link in the confirmation e-mail will we add the e-mail address provided to our mailing list (so-called double opt-in). If you are a customer of ours, we can also send you the newsletter.

The following services and service providers can be used

Data erasure and storage period

Subject to a request for deletion, the data for sending the newsletter will be stored for as long as we need this data to send the newsletter. The data will therefore be deleted if you actively unsubscribe from the newsletter or if a newsletter is reported as undeliverable more than [two (2) times] or if we generally stop sending the ordered newsletter.

Use of cookies

We use cookie technology for our websites. Cookies are small text files that are sent from our web server to your browser when you visit our website and are stored on your computer for later retrieval.

This website uses cookies to the following extent:

  • Transient cookies (temporary use)

  • Persistent cookies (temporary use)

  • Third-party cookies (from third-party providers)

  • Flash cookies (permanent use)

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognised when you return to the website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. However, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all the functions of this website.

The Flash cookies used are not recorded by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. These store the necessary data independently of the browser you use and have no automatic expiry date. If you do not wish Flash cookies to be processed, you must install an appropriate add-on, e.g. "Better Privacy" for Mozilla Firefox or Adobe Flash Killer Cookie for Google Chrome.

We do not collect or store personal data in cookies in this context. We also do not use any technologies that link the information collected by cookies with user data.

You can find more information on the topic of "cookies" on the portal of the Technical University of Berlin: www.verbraucher-sicher-online.de/thema/cookies

Web analysis

It is important to us to optimise the design of our website and make it as attractive as possible for our visitors. To do this, we need to know which parts of it are received by our visitors and how. We use the following recognised technologies for this purpose:

Use of SalesViewer® technology:

This website uses SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH to collect and store data for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes on the basis of the website operator's legitimate interests (Art. 6 para.1 lit.f GDPR).

For this purpose, a javascript-based code is used to collect company-related data and the corresponding use. The data collected using this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website.

The data stored by Salesviewer is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.

You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future by clicking on this link www.salesviewer.com/opt-out to prevent the collection by SalesViewer® within this website in the future. An opt-out cookie for this website will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click on this link again.

Integrated services

We integrate the following external services to design our website and provide additional functions:

All of the services described below can be deactivated by using special plugins for your browser or, more specifically, the necessary connection to the corresponding servers can be prevented. Please note, however, that the use of such tools may be associated with a loss of familiar everyday convenience - because many things will no longer function as you would normally expect.

Open Street Maps

We integrate the maps of the "OpenStreetMap" service (https://www.openstreetmap.de), which are offered on the basis of the Open Data Commons Open Database Licence (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). Privacy policy: wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy. To the best of our knowledge, OpenStreetMap uses user data exclusively for the purpose of displaying the map functions and temporarily storing the selected settings. This data may include, in particular, users' IP addresses and location data, which are not collected without their consent (usually as part of the settings of their mobile devices). The data may be processed in the USA. Further information can be found in OpenStreetMap's privacy policy: wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy. These processing operations are only carried out with your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Google Web Fonts

Google Web Fonts are implemented on our websites. These are responsible for displaying fonts. By using Google Web Fonts, a Google server in the USA is called up unless your browser can access a local copy in the cache. Your IP address will be transmitted to Google. If you are also logged in to Google with an existing user account at the same time as visiting our website, Google may also be able to associate your visit to our website with your user behaviour. We have no influence on this procedure and do not receive any information from Google about the transmitted content. The provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Further information on data protection at Google Inc. can be found at: www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Social media links

Our websites contain links to various social media. These are both social media plugins and links to our offers within these media. Like this website, all of these accounts are also operated by us, MEDIA Central Gesellschaft für Handelskommunikation und Marketing mbH. If you click on one of these links, your IP address will always be transmitted to the operators of the various platforms. If you use one of these services and are also logged in with your specific account, information about your surfing behaviour may also be collected by the social media operators. The transmission of your IP address to the operators of the websites accessed is technically necessary and applies to all websites.
